The Directors of SHOWDOWN PRODUCTIONS LTD value passion, integrity and excellence in television production. We believe in choosing the right people for the job - having quality people making a valuable contribution results in a great end product.

The company is committed to researching, developing, producing and delivering a product that is on time, on budget, with high production values.

SHOWDOWN PRODUCTIONS LTD has two equal partners, who are all Directors of the company. They are Tracy Mika, and Emma Slade. Following is a recent history of those Directors:

Tracy Mika
Tracy has been working in the television industry in New Zealand and the UK for the last 11 years. Her passion is in writing and creating new programme ideas and formats.

Tracy is currently producing "Rural Delivery" (TV One) about the business of farming. Three years prior to that she worked on the agricultural business series "Grass Roots Business" (TV One) as Production Manager, Associate Producer, and Producer. She also wrote the original concept for the seven-part documentary/reality series "City Girls" (TV2), and went on to Field-Direct and Co-Produce the series with Emma Slade.

Prior to that, Tracy was a Field Director and Researcher on a noise control documentary (TV2), and then from 2000 - 2001 she lived in London, working for TWI/IMG on the "ATP Tennis Tour" magazine show (38 x half hour episodes sold internationally). Between 1998 and 2000 Tracy was Production Manager/Associate Producer on "Prime Living" (Prime Television), a daily, hour-long magazine show that ran for three and a half years.

Producer: Emma Slade

Film is Emma’s passion. Over the last four years, she has line produced three feature films. The most recent being “Tracker” the UK/NZ co-production which premiered in the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival.

Emma’s career in television began in the UK, working for companies such as: Discovery Networks Europe, BBC and Action Time. On her return to New Zealand, Emma worked on a great range of programming, from entertainment to documentary, drama to popular factual, comedy to feature film, Emma has had experience with most genres.

In 2003, Emma joined forces with Tracy Mika and began Showdown Productions Ltd to create a boutique company with a big vision. They are now running seven effective, strategic businesses in an intelligent and creative way.
